Before I updated, photos in my albums could swipe up for more info AND an icon of a plant or bug or fog and I could get a search for identification. Where has that gone?
iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 18

It's no longer an i with a star. Here
it's a little leaf with a star, because Photos found a plant. The info window looks like this:
In Settings>Apps>Photos, be sure to turn on Enhanced Visual Search.
In previous OSs, people complained about not being able to turn this off. So now, you may have to turn it on.

Well, clearly not, since I've shown it to you on my iPhone using iOS18. Did you look at the pictures I included?
How long has it been since you upgraded? It took several days for my phone to scan all my pictures and start Visual Lookup.
I used to get little icons in the "more info" at the bottom. No more icons. And no icon of the "i" circled with stars. I'm not happy that updating my IOS has lost this useful function in my photos app.
Enhanced search is already on. It gives info on landmarks and/or location BUT DOES NOT HELP WITH ID OF PHOTO SUBJECT.
So basically this upgrade deleted a really useful function. Ugh. I regret upgrading the IOS.
Visual Lookup is still available. Were the images that you’ve been trying to use Visual Lookup showing info before? Do you see an icon like this?
