Buying an Apple product from other than an Apple Store
If I buy an Apple iPad or MacBook Pro from other than an Apple Store, may I get Apple support?

Yes, Apple support is available regardless of where you buy your new device. Depending on where you purchase, the AppleCare+ extended warranty may or may not be offered at the time of sale, but that can be added for a short time after the purchase - up to sixty days after.

Support at the Apple Store or online is always available, too, even for older devices. This Community is an example of the peer-to-peer support you can find.
Note, however, that if you buy from someone other than an authorized Apple reseller, you have no way of knowing for certain that the device you're getting is actually new and is working properly. So it's strongly recommended that you only purchase from an Apple-authorized retailer.
Also, the terms of return that you get when purchasing directly from Apple - the current holiday return period allows returns though January 8 in the US - will not apply when purchasing from someone else, though that retailer may offer their own return period. I mention this because another person who posted here had major heartburn when he/she found out that the Apple's return terms didn't apply to the reseller he/she bought the device from.
Regards.
