Apple Intelligence Installation Stuck on "Preparing"

We purchased a brand-new MacBook Air M3, expressly for running Apple Intelligence. We tried to install, but it has been stuck on "Preparing" for more than a week. We have tried changing the language, changing the wifi, changing the region, but nothing seems to work. And our download seems to have stopped at 4.46Mb. What I am wondering is whether there is a way to restart the complete installation and begin a new download? Any help is appreciated. This is very frustrating and Apple really should have addressed it by now.

I am very happy for you.

Now, let’s address this waiting list (which has caused tremendous confusion among many users).

There have been many discussions here in the community on this very subject.

Some users have suggested setting the region to the United States and the language to English U.S.

What has worked for me?

First and foremost, you must establish your connection to a WiFi network 🛜, not simply a mobile hotspot.

If Apple Intelligence is stuck on your Mac:

Open Settings ➢ General ➢ Storage.
Scroll to the bottom and double-click ⚙️ macOS.
Apple Intelligence should be fully downloaded if it reads: 4.94 GB.
Once this has happened, go directly to Settings ➢ Apple Intelligence & Siri and you should find the prompt or switch to toggle on Apple Intelligence.

It took two weeks for me.

I have no further information on this delay that I can provide at this time.
