Magic Keyboard Volume Not Working Macbook Pro M2

I just purchased an Apple Magic Keyboard and the F10/F11 volume keys aren't working. I toggled the 'Use F1/F2' buttons on/off option in the Keyboard Settings as some other users suggested but nothing worked. I also uninstalled/reinstalled the keyboard.

I'm currently using the keyboard when the Macbook is plugged into an external monitor and closed.
