I can only type with one hand, due to handicap, despite correct settings the dictation does not work, instead of the cursor on the text page the orange microphone symbol appears for a moment and then nothing.
what can I do? dictation would be useful to me

Make sure to have dictation set up correctly, and after that restart your Mac to see if the issues persist
