Anyone out there still dealing with this itunes calendar/contacts being deprecated ?
What is the latest iOS + ITUNES + Outlook Version you have successfully used?

I'm not set up to test this directly, but I suspect iTunes still supports syncing contacts & calendars while these features are dropped with the replacement apps Music, Devices & TV they seem to want to focus on in future. Note these apps are not yet a good alternative for iTunes in my opinion.

I think the only reason the other thread got shut down was that no one had appended for a while.
I had a habit of just "poking it" now and then but was on an extended trip and ... it just got shutdown due to inactivity... disappointing.............. :-/

I have not been able to find anymore discussions about this specific issue and the last discussion was closed out so is it a dead issue now and I am just not aware???

@jimbob5941 I was also holding out with a older versions but unfortunately I have to replace my apple watch and the new watch requires iOS 18 or higher to operate so I'm forced into looking into this now and hope I do not break my calendar/contacts sync in the process :(
I noticed each apple community forum related to this issue was closed out so I initially thought maybe Apple was closing them since the inevitable had already happened and it was a closed issue. I now fear that maybe this issue/concern is dying out on its own with the majority of people just breaking down and using iCloud for back ups and calendar/contacts sync which I personally still do NOT want to do.
I have successfully sync-ed iOS 17.7.2 + iTunes 12.13.1.3 + Outlook 2021 (fully patched - to 11/24)
FYI - ok so I can confirm the following configuration still allows for iPhone/Itunes backup and contacts synchronization on --> Outlook 2013 (desktop app) , ITUNES 12.13.1.3 and iOS 18.2 .
Wondering if anyone has upgraded to iOS 18.2.1 ?
I have not heard of any 18.x results yet...............
I'm holding off at this point for a while....
Only because I've got too much else going on :-/
A more detailed "roadmap" from Apple would be very nice to see............................

I am still successfully sync-ing with Windows 10, Outlook 2021, iTunes 12.13.1.3, and iOS 17.7.2
