Your iOS version and your device are both old enough to have issues, yes.

As for TikTok, some creators are fond of trolling their viewers.

Here is a recent example of some TikTok viewers getting trolled:

Whatever you referenced has been edited, so whatever security issue or claim you’re referring to is unknown.

You’ll have to use words to describe the content and claims of the TikTok video, and not a link to it.

That ”might get hacked” can be a work of fiction, or can be a discussion of reality.

As was linked above, Calculator app resulting in Apple Account lockout would be TikTok fiction.

TikTok videos are far from a source a factual information as has been shown in the provided link. The purpose is to get upvotes and direct people to their posts for views which is compounded by the algorithms that TikTok uses to show you those feeds. The more outrageous the claim, the more likely you are going to see that content.

Stopping the spread of false information is the solution and you will not be able to post a link here for that either. Simply ask a question in your own words and you are likely to get a factual answer, many times with links from reputable sources to back up the answer.

So basically I don’t know why i am not allowed to share a link but anyway. In the video there is an iphone 13 pro in the foreground and a random windows pc in the backround. On the pc screen there is a program running which is called “Spider phone” and it shows information about the device. The iphone in this video appears to be running iOS 17.6.1. He click something and the program starts to work. After a while the iphone screen turns fully blue and it reboots. After the reboot on the screen pops up a message that the phone is locked by spider phone, and it requires around 0.02 BTC for the unlock. The guy in the video tries to exit that screen but the phone is completely frozen on that screen. Even the buttons are unresponsive. So i wanted to know if this is a prank or if it is real? I will try to attach some photos and hope for them not to be removed.
