Call announcing voice is very low and can barely hear who’s calling thru the AirPod Pro 2

Since upgrading to 18.0 and the new IPad Pro firmware there is no way to increase the volume when Siri announces an Incoming calling callers name while using the AirPods.Nothing that I have tried is working.

Call announcing voice is very low and can barely hear who’s calling thru the AirPod Pro 2 >I just installed 18.2.1 and that did nothing> Again my APP announce messages no problem and my Beats fit Pros announce calls no problem too. Only AirPods Pro 2 has the call announcement problem. If there was any noise going on I would miss phone calls because the phone won't ring either with the APP in. I've been on multiple support calls with Apple and they so far have been no help with no follow up

I've called Apple three times because of this problem. No one knows how to fix it. I got sent up to a senior advisor. He didn't even get on the phone and told the gentleman I was talking to just to take my AirPods to the store to get looked at, and possibly repaired both me and the and the apple support tech agreed that its not hardware issue but a software one. I thought there would be a fix with 18.2.1 even worse and unfortunately I was disappointed when the problem continued Apple needs to get on this immediately. This particular bug is driving me up the wall for the last few months.

FYI All, call the Apple support and voice your discouragement, complaint, that the fact that the “call announcement” feature is not working. Call them. This way they can log down how many phone calls they get for this software program bug that they need to fix. I’ve been calling every day since Tuesday four days ago.

I actually sent my AirPods for Repair and they could not find no problem even though it’s clearly not working on the ‘call announce’ feature. So then the third-party company suggested I get a new pair of AirPods Pro 2 and I did so and still not working. I got them for dirt cheap Under warranty. Now I have an appointment with Genius Bar come Monday. Yeah I’m gonna say that I’ll probably be wasting gas and time doing so. Since this problem seems to be happening too many and sounds like more of a software program problem than an actual hardware problem.

I feel the same. Every call announcement with Siri into my AirPod Pro 2’s is so , so Low. It’s like you can barely hear what Siri is saying. I’ve tried 100 different things and settings to solve this problem with no help. Also tried a Hard Reset of the AirPods, but even that didn’t work. The problem is only with incoming calls announcement by Siri. Music and everything else is fine. I’m thinking I will have to wait until the next Software Update for the AirPods. Maybe that will solve the problem 🤷🏽‍♂️

I found that by swiping up on the airpod when Siri is making the announcement turns up the volume. You have to do it at the right time though so I had someone call me a few times to get it right.

I’ve been going through the same thing. Went through hours of trouble shooting and tech having me change settings. First time I sent them in they replaced the headphones. Second time they replaced my headphones and case. Still calls sound like a muffled whisper. Very annoying
