different popup keyboards in Numbers on iPad not the same as iPhone

When entering digits into a cell within a Numbers Spreadsheet, on my iPhone I have the ability to select “123” in a row above the onscreen keyboard to switch to a Numeric Keypad Layout (a little like a calculator); however, when i use an iPad with the exact same document the option to select “123” is missing from the top of the onscreen keyboard. Can I fix this issue?

The Bottom Line: I want to enter numbers into a spreadsheet cell using my fingers on the touchscreen via a standard numeric keypad, and not the standard number row at the top of a standard QWERY setup. The iPhone does it why not the iPad? Thanks.
