3rd Party Workouts are not Counting towards 7-workout Week

When I record a workout in a 3rd party app, the data is showing in the Apple Fitness app as workout, the green dots also appear in the activity-calendar, showing that I did the excercise, but I do not get the 7-workout week badge for whatever reason, only if I am starting each and every workout on the watch!!! Why? I have a bicycle computer that is a lot more accurate than the Apple Watch and measures pulse using a chest belt sensor and captures a lot more data (cadence just to name one), but I also have to start the "Outdoor cycling" activity on my watch to have those registered towards the 7-workout week. Nonsense. Also, my watch battery is not so reliable any more, so I would prefer to use the bike computer instead, but Apple does not want to acknowledge this workout as something to be included in the 7-workout week. If I export it to the Apple Fitness app, it is shown as a workout, the dot by the date is shown in the calendar view, but it is not part of the 7-workout week. Why? I lost a lot of 7-workout week badges throughout the years because of this. Nonsense. Also, the workout is shown as "Outdoor cycling", but is not shown as a 100k or 100-mile or "longest" outdoor cycling. That is just insane.
