I don't have any more "facts" to add. I have a Numbers spreadsheet that has an Indirect() formula in a cell, and this cell does not refresh/recalculate when the rest of the spreadsheet updates.
I have seen comments in closed threads that this is a known problem.
This Community "question" is just a stub for further observations.
It is a bug. It used to work properly but it has been broken for a while now. The first mention of it was in categorized tables in April 2023. I don't have the most recent version of Numbers to tell when old bugs get fixed but Apple takes their sweet time fixing bugs, even ones that are core to the purpose of spreadsheets (i.e., ensuring correct results from formulas), preferring instead to introduce new features. There are bugs much older than this one still unfixed. I rant about this all the time.
