Phone stolen and apple id compromised."This Apple Account is not valid or not supported"

My phone was stolen in January, they instantly changed my apple id password and recovery email. My old account now says "This Apple Account is not valid or not supported". With that being said, I haven't been able to use my apple watch or reset the apple watch because there is an "apple watch locked to owner" when I try to pair the watch to the new phone. It gives me the option to put in my old apple id, but when I do, it doesn't work and tells me the email is not supported....Is there any way to get past this or is this watch just done for?
