I have a relatively new 2Gb SSD that I use to store all of my files not on my 256Gb M3 MacBook Air. There is roughly 750Gb of files on the external storage. When I do a daily backup with TimeMachine it doesn't seem to recognize the 2Gb SSD, can I direct TimeMachine to backup the SSD? How can I do this? Please advise. Thank you, Philgo

Open the Time Machine settings, click Options, select your SSD and click the "-" icon to remove it from the exclusion list. It will then be backed up on your Time Machine HDD.
Thanks for the suggestion. However it wasn't in the exclusion list, just the HDD for TimeMachine backups.
is it possible to get my TimeMachine backup HDD to backup my files my external SSD
