CarPlay issues connecting or maintaining connection in 2023 Nissan Navara

We have a 2023 Nissan Navara. It has wired Apple Car Play. In the past few weeks it has had difficulty connecting. Some days will connect straight away, some days after unplugging/plugging in USB over and over (around 5 minutes), shutting down the iPhone 14 etc. Sometimes when it's connected (finally) and I go over a small bump/speed hump it will disconnect again. I tried multiple different USB cords and still have the same issue. My phone has the latest update. What the heck is going on?
