Piggyback a TC from my NAS or vice versa?

I've had a NAS for a while and a Time Capsule for even longer, using the NAS as a storage device (funnily enough) which I backup to a cloud server. I use Time Machine to backup my iMac to the TC.

Both the NAS and the TC are connected to the same network via a PoE switch (I realise I don't need PoE for the NAS or the TC, but I do have a PoE camera installed), but could I "piggyback" the NAS from the TC, without complication or degradation, please?
