External Drives will not eject since Sequoia 15.1.1 update

My external hard drives will not eject normally and must force eject since I installed Sequoia 15.1.1.

Is there a fix or work around for this issue?

Thank you much.

If applicable ?

Applications that frequently prevent volumes from unmounting

We've received (and confirmed) reports of the following applications causing trouble with volume unmounts. If you have one of these applications, you should see if you can add your CCC backup volume to a "whitelist" within that software to avoid the interference it causes. The name of the offending process (which is what you would see in the Console application) is noted in parentheses.

  • BitDefender (BDLDaemon)
  • Time Machine (backupd)
  • Spotlight (mds or mds_stores)
  • Disk Drill (cfbackd)
  • Retrospect (RetrospectInstantScan)
  • CleanMyDrive
  • Intego Virus Barrier (virusbarriers)
  • AppCleaner (AppCleaner SmartDelete)
  • AVG AntiVirus (avgoad)
  • ClamXAV

External Drive

Sorry if we parse words

Any Third Party Security Software whether listed by name or not

FYI - had a similar issue of External Drive refusing to dismount

Using Carbon Copy Cloner to that drive to augment TM Backup

Did some work with the Developer

There is a setting within that application to run a script to UnMount the drive post the Task Completing

Problem solved
