How can I link music app to iCloud ?

My music app did not include most of my albums saved on my Mac hard drive . Only way I found to transfer was by " dragging " across on the desktop. Music is no longer shown on my Mac iCloud links list - how do I put it back so I can access music on my other devices . Spoke with Apple support , but not much help and they didn't phone back when I lost contact .
