My imessage on ipad is not synching, it defaults to manually synching via “sync now” option every time. I see this question has been posed and not answered. Does someone from Apple respond to these queries???

To add, my iphone is having exact same issue. There does not appear to be anyway to default to synching imessages automatically across devices that has worked for a number of years.
