CarPlay crashing when using Siri since iOS 18.1.1

I'll be seeing my Mazda dealer next week for service, which will be my first opportunity since iOS 18 launched to ask if Mazda has updated its software in response to the issues. I'll report back here.

Me too, i’ve a Citroën C3 (only wire for CarPlay connection) with personal map system and siri crash at every request :(, but on toyota aygoX allow the wireless connection and hasn’t a personal map system it works every time.

I'm now running Mazda OS Version 74.00.324 NA N. I just upgraded today to iOS 18.4 and, as far as I can tell, all is still working fine.

For those who don't know how to find which OS version you're running in your Mazda, go to Settings > System > About > OS version on your screen. I have a 2020 CX-5, but this should work for models before and since with an infotainment system. What I don't know is whether there is one OS version that runs across all Mazda models and years. I believe Mazda infotainment got a big overhaul for the 2022 model year (or thereabouts). so perhaps those vehicles are running an altogehter different OS and number.

Rep at Apple Store recommended I erase my phone and start fresh. Anyone have success with this before I do that? Really don’t want to start over from scratch.

Still not fixed with iOS 18.3. This is ridiculous. Been going on since iOS 18 was initially released for me.

I have just tried deleting the CarPlay link and restarting it to see if it makes any difference. It did not. My gut instinct is that this is a memory issue with the vehicle system.

Which firmware version did you get updated to?

I’ve installed the last version of my car firmware and also i have IOS 18.3.2, but si still not working :(

I fixed this issue with my carplay by getting a better quality cord designed for data transfer rather than my old cord and the problem was resolved if that helps...

Same here. Peugeot 208 from 2018. It's been more than half a year...

I also had it CarPlay crash in Peugeot 3008 when invoking Siri. Disabled Apple Intelligence and it works fine again.

Thank you, unfortunately I have an Se 3rd gen and don't think AI is on them or at least there is no setting to disable it.
