I got hacked now can’t sign into Facebook or messenger….please help

Hi. So I was hacked the other day. Had to change so many passwords in my phone. My phone was being wierd so I reset it. Now I can get onto Facebook through safari but even then it signs me out of there sometimes. I can’t get the app or messenger to work. On the app it keeps displaying this message:

Go to your authentication app

Enter the 6-digit code for this account from the two-factor authentication app that you set up (such as Duo Mobile or Google Authenticator).

I don’t have a code and I have been on Facebook for a long time since the site first started. I don’t know what to do I’ve been through the help sections. Tried sending emails but got no reply. I’ve spent hours trying to figure it out. On the safari bit I’ve tried on there as well, sometimes I get the message saying you can’t change this right now. Please help…

Contact Meta if you are having trouble signing into your account. If you have enabled two factor authentication on your Facebook account, then this Support Article from them may help:

Apple has no control over your Facebook account and if there is a problem with the apps Meta provides, then only they can update them.

Not sure what you used when setting up Two Factor Authentication on your Facebook account. They give you 3 options: Security Key, Authenticator App, or SMS message. It would appear you used an Authenticator app as that is what it is asking you to use, but does not tell you what that was. Facebook provides this article on using the Authenticator app to enter your code.

Unfortunately Meta has terrible customer service and it is very difficult to contact them to resolve an issue and leave it up to their users to figure it out for themselves. You are not alone.

then as was said before, you need to contact Facebook support. They are the only ones who can help you recover your accounts (if even they can; Facebook support is largely useless rubbish), though

Hi. Thankyou for your reply. I have tried doing what the article says I keep getting this message:

You can't make this change at the moment

This is because we noticed you are using a device you don't usually use and we need to keep your account safe. We'll allow you to make this change after you've used this device for a while.

but then it locked me out again earlier. Had to unlock my account. Sorry I’m not very technical but I just don’t know what to do next

Hi Thankyou for your reply. I have tried all of that though. It keeps saying this but I don’t have a code and I can’t remember having one? Do you know how I get past this please?
