Thanks.
Before going through the painful task of trying to revert back to an older OS, you may want to determine what is actually causing the machine to get hot.
First thing to do when the computer is this warm, open up Activity Monitor and see what processes are using up the most CPU. You can take a screen shot and post the results here for us to take a look at.
Usually what happens is with upgrades that cause excessive CPU use:
-Initially Spotlight can use a lot of CPU and disk access until it completes updating its search data bases. After it completes this and functions normally, the CPU usage and disk access will go down and there by cooling things down
-Also initially after and upgrade, Time Machine will take some time to create a fresh backup, though this usually does not take that long
-Sometimes third party apps may not be completely compatible with some changes with an OS upgrade especially those that launch background processes when the machine boots. Sometimes the incompatibility can cause that 3rd party process to "spin its wheels" and eat up CPU and therefor warm things up.
-3rd party drivers can also suffer the same issue as the above mentioned
So, the first approach is to diagnose the problem and first step would be to get a screen shot of the systems CPU activity so that we can help you figure out the issue.
