Hi there!


The easiest way to migrate your files from your MacBook Pro to your new iMac is by using Migration Assistant:

Transfer to a new Mac with Migration Assistant - Apple Support.


You can either use Migration Assistant by connecting both Mac computers together with a Thunderbolt cable, or let Migration Assistant establish a wireless connection between the two Mac computers. Often, using a cable will result in a quicker migration.
