shake sound issue in video recordings 12 pro MAX

I am reaching out to you for assistance with an issue I am experiencing with my iPhone 12 Pro Max. After updating to iOS 18.2.1 (the issue did not occur before the update), I encountered the following problem:

When recording video in HD while holding the phone vertically, there are sound disturbances – a noticeable “rattling” or noise, as if the lens is bouncing inside the camera. This problem disappears when I point the phone downward (towards the floor) or upward (towards the ceiling), which likely stops the lens from moving.

Interestingly, this issue does not occur when recording in 4K quality. Similarly, everything works fine when I use a different app to record video – both in HD and 4K.

For these reasons, I believe this is a software-related issue. I have attached two video recordings for your review – one in HD, where the problem occurs, and another in 4K, where the issue is absent. My video from iPhone: https://youtube.com/shorts/36HWHYUdZNE?si=_JbNMw7XXXS6HVEw

Help, please!

If your iPhone 12 Pro Max is producing a "shake sound" in video recordings, it could be due to a few factors, most likely related to the phone's stabilization system, the way you're holding the phone while recording, or even a minor hardware issue; try adjusting the "Enhanced Stabilization" setting in your camera settings, ensuring you're holding the phone steadily, and if the problem persists, consider contacting Apple support to check for potential hardware issues.

Potential causes and solutions:

  • Enhanced Stabilization:
    • Check the setting: Go to "Settings > Camera > Record Video" and check if "Enhanced Stabilization" is turned on. Sometimes, even with slight movements, the stabilization system can create a subtle "shake" sound in the recording.
    • Try toggling it off: Turn off Enhanced Stabilization and see if the sound issue persists.
  • Grip and movement:
    • Hold the phone steady: Be mindful of how you hold the phone while recording, as even small hand movements can be amplified by the stabilization system, causing audible "shake" sounds.
    • Use a tripod or gimbal: If you need extra stability, consider using a tripod or phone gimbal to minimize movement.
  • Hardware issues:
    • Check for damage: Inspect your phone for any visible damage to the camera or stabilization components.
    • Contact Apple Support: If you suspect a hardware problem, especially if the issue is recent and not related to how you're holding the phone, reach out to Apple Support to discuss potential repair options

I’d like to clarify a few things regarding my issue. My iPhone 12 Pro Max does not have an option to adjust stabilization in the camera settings. The problem seems to be software-related because:

1. When I record in 4K, the issue does not occur – there’s no rattling or noise.

2. When I use another app to record videos, both in HD and 4K, everything works perfectly fine.

It seems there was a misunderstanding. I’m attaching a link to a video where you can clearly hear the rattling noise from the lens. The video includes two recordings – please review them and let me know how to resolve this issue:
