Correct. Maybe an Android phone would show up on a Windows PC, but only an iPhone will show up on a Mac. It's an Apple thing.

Have you tried a different USB-C cable, as some cables are charge only, with no data transfer capability.
Please tell us which Mac, model and year you’re having trouble with, and what macOS version you’re running. Find that info by clicking the Apple menu () at the top-left of your screen and then select About This Mac.
Where are you trying to get the data to transfer from?
What happens when you try to do this?
Do you get error or other messages being displayed?
Have you installed any anti-virus, optimizing or cleaning apps?
yeah I tried various of them but its the same issue
it is Mac OS i5 early 2014 Mac book air
the data is from an andriod phone

no anti virus

You cannot transfer data from an Android phone to a Mac via a USB cable.
But the phone even does not show in the pc
