After Sonoma 14.4 (even in Sequoia 15.2), when I turn on my MacBook Pro 14" M1 with my USB C Thunderbolt dock attached to an external display, it will not let me log in.
Since updating to Sonoma 14.4 (and even in Sequoia 15.2), I've had an issue with my MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro (2021) when using a USB-C Thunderbolt dock connected to an external display. My setup includes a 35" monitor, an external keyboard, mouse, and SSDs, all plugged into the dock.
Whenever I turn on my MacBook while the dock is connected, I can type my password and see the loading bar, but it never logs in. I've waited hours, but the only way to get it to work is to unplug the dock, let the MacBook finish logging in, and then reconnect the dock. This happens even if I restart the computer.
I’ve tried adjusting the "Allow accessories to connect" setting in Privacy & Security (switching between "Ask Every Time," "Ask for New Accessories," "Automatically When Unlocked," and "Always"), but none of these options have fixed the problem.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues with their docking system after the Sonoma update? If so, were you able to fix it and how? It use to work with no issues. (Also, I've tried different docks Razer Thunderbolt 4 dock and Aukey dock).
