Too much lagging on iPhone 16 Pro Max

My phone takes a while once I open the mail app to be able to press on an email to open it, the camera can take up to 5 seconds to finally decide to snap the photo once I press the button. Came from a 14 pro max 1tb and that did not have these issues. I really don’t understand how this phone with a better processor can have so much lag? Apple sort your lag issue. Phone memory is only 1/5th full. Have restarted and also updated to the latest OS.
