I deleted TikTok once I heard that it would be banned because I thought it would be it then it was announced that TikTok had been UN-banned so I went to the App Store and I couldn’t find the app to put TikTok back in the App Store for the people who deleted it since it is now unbanned

I deleted tiktok the day it got banned because i thought it was gonna be banned for a long time, untill 12 hours later it was working again and i couldn’t download it.

If tiktok is useable and unbanned for users who haven’t deleted it or on devices that still have it, i think it should be put up back in app stores.

Although it has been banned, It has been supposedly said that President Trump has been working with them to get it back, and since he is back in office i feel like Users should get the opportunity to have it back in app stores.

About availability of TikTok and ByteDance Ltd. apps in the United States - Apple Support

Speculation is not supported here in these forums. We have no idea when or whether it it will be returned to the App Store. Patience will be required and we are not Apple but fellow forum members like yourself

Please read the many, many other posts about this topic. But if you need a starting point:

The TikTok app is currently unavailable in the app store due to US law:

Despite the app currently functioning, it has NOT been unbanned:

The US Supreme Court recently upheld the ban and therefore only the US Congress can change the law at this point. It is only speculation that an incoming administration may be able to intervene unless ByteDance meets the requirements of the law as passed.

If you are struggling the unavailability of TikTok:

TikTok is currently blocked in the US due by law:

It has NOT been unbanned -- yet:

It may take you more time than a TikTok video to actually read those articles, but you have time for that now that TikTok is unavailable so please take more than a few seconds to fully understand the issue.

Per the NYT article, "the law penalizes app stores, like Apple and Google, and other internet companies, like Oracle, for distributing or updating any TikTok content". Therefore, TikTok is currently unavailable on the Apple app store and Google app store. Apple, nor anyone on this community change that. The US Supreme Court recently upheld the ban and therefore only the US Congress can change the law at this point.

While you are at it, this may be a worthy read:

It is not Apple that is stopping you, it is Congress that enacted the law and the Supreme Court that upheld it. You would have better luck contacting your congressman/wonam, as currently the law states that Apple and Google will be fined $5000 per person for anyone that they have allowed to download the app. There may be a change in the future, but it has not happened so far, and it will not be Apple that will make that decision.

Do you know what an Executive Order can and cannot do? Our country has 3 branches of Government each with their own checks and balances. Otherwise it would be a Dictatorship. Congress has NOT overturned the law and the Supreme Court has not ruled that an Executive Order can even eliminate the fines that the law puts in place on Google and Apple for allowing a user to download the app.

To help you understand, start here:
Still, any legal shield Trump promises by way of executive action will not hold up in court, Rozenshtein argues.
"This is not a power the president has, and he cannot wish it into existence merely by saying something and calling it an executive order," he said.

I think everyone in this thread was busy texting or sleeping in American History, Civics and Social Studies.
