MacBook Pro 2021 reboots on sleep/energy saving (M1 Pro, mac OS Sequoia 15.2)

When I close the lid of my MacBook Pro to put it to sleep, or when it goes to sleep/energy saving mode by itself, my Macbook reboots. Unsaved work is lost.

If anyone has any tips, I would be grateful. What I already tried:

  • reboot => No improvement
  • Switched off energy saving => no improvement
  • Created another user => no improvement
  • with and without connection to the power source => reboots both
  • reinstalled Mac OS via restore => no improvement
  • Diagnostics with Command+D during startup options => leads to a normal reboot in OS

I am a bit confused.

A SafeBoot Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled temporarily.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

Safe boot does not work as intended. Just turns the system off. I can also not use the diagnose tool.

I am using the build in Keyboard. I can enter the startup options, select the HD. When I click on "Continue in safe mode" the book just turns off.

As written: Diagnostic is not working. Same as safe boot.

I have used Recovery. Issue is still the same.
