Why does my contact name change in Group FaceTime?

When someone FaceTimes me on a Group FaceTime, why can we all see what my contact name is saved under in someone else’s phone? My contact name in the person who starts the FaceTime phone is displayed at the top where everyone’s name who is on the FaceTime should display what I have THEM saved under.
