You need to determine if you started the subscription on their website or by an in-app purchase. Website subscriptions are managed by the Developer and Apple has no involvement. If you purchased the subscription in the app, then it is managed by Apple and you will be able to see it here and cancel it.

If you do not see it there, then that means it is not being managed by Apple and you most likely signed up for a website subscription. Another way to tell is by how you became aware of this app. Many times you will see a link from a Social Media page or Web Advertisement that directs you to their site and you answer a few questions and choose your subscription. Many companies have subscriptions that they manage themselves, and also have app. Just because they have an app, does not mean Apple is managing the subscription . Other examples of companies where you can have a subscriptions directly with the company that Apple has no control over, even though they have an app, are Netflix, YouTube, Twitter(X), HBO, Walmart, and many more.

To cancel a Web Subscription with MyFamio, they list 2 ways that can be done on there website:

WEB CANCELLATION

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You must cancel your subscription before it renews to avoid the billing of the fees for the next subscription period. If you purchased a subscription or enabled trial on our Site:

1 . Cancel your subscription purchased on our Site in your account:

  • Open the “Web Profile”;
  • Log into your Account;
  • Navigate to the Subscriptions tab;
  • Tap “Turn off auto-renewal”.

I can eled this My Famio Subscription as soon as I saw how much it cost. And today my bank account was hit with a $29.99 charge. I can not afford this and the app did not even help me with what I needed anyways there is another $2.99 I want back as well. There is some kind of mind trickery going on here. When you want to cancel your subscription it should be cancelled. I Should not have to be taking all of this time doing this when I already cancelled. At any rate I can't afford this and want my money back immediately.

I suspect you do not even have a subscription that is managed by Apple and your issue is with MyFamio because you inadvertently signed up on their website and bypassed Apple's ability to manage the subscription. Apple is only involved if you see the subscription here to cancel:

Just because a company has an app does not mean Apple is responsible for every subscription a company offers. In fact, the courts have required Apple through many lawsuits to allow developers a way to subscribe that does not involve Apple or give them the ability to cancel those subscription. In all cases a website subscription has never been one that has anything to do with Apple. Companies such as Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Walmart, Youtube, Twitter, and many more accepts subscriptions with them directly that Apple cannot cancel.

What you need to do for any company that inadvertently signed you up for a subscription is to dispute the charge with your bank if you are unable to get a resolution with them. You can also certainly file a complaint with your Governments consumer protection agency. In the US, that would be the FTC and you can do that here:

https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/

In addition for any app downloaded from the App Store, you can also:

  • Write a review for the app in the App Store to let others know about your experience. This will be viewable to any user who goes to the App Store to download the app.
  • Report the app to Apple by going to reportaproblem.apple.com, and choose the option to Report it as a Scam.

I cancelled my subscription same day I subscribed but they have debited me twice, I want a refund

Is your situation the same as others where they subscribed on their website and the subscription has nothing to do with Apple?

Subscriptions that are managed by able are seen here:

Otherwise, it is not Apple that can help as you made that decision yourself to subscribe with the company directly, so the solution is to contact that company or dispute the charge with your payment method. That is true for any purchase/subscription you make with any company directly, without using an in-app purchase that is managed by Apple.

I canceled my subscription with Famio last month and my account was just drafted again. I have canceled twice. I would like a refund!
  • Refund from who?
  • What method did you use to cancel?

If you do not see the subscription here, then your subscription is not with Apple, so cancelling or requesting a refund would need to be done with Famio, since they also offer the subscriptions directly, bypassing Apple's ability to manage the subscription.

If your situation is similar to the others, the subscription was made directly with the developer on their website and that bypasses Apple's ability to manage the subscription and any refunds would need to be requested on the same website where the subscription was started. Cancelling or deleting the app makes no difference in cancelling that subscription. You will receive the subscription charges whether you have the app or not.

Review the information that has been provided and was successfully used to cancel the subscription by going to their website.

I never signed up for Famio. Somehow they have my card information and are charging me. Today I tried to access the famio app to see if I actually had an account. None of my email addresses are tied to an account nor is my Apple account tied to an account. This is a scam.
  • Who actually is charging you?
  • What is the exact description of the charge?
  • Do you see it in your Apple Account purchase history?

Review the information that has been provided. If your case is like others, then the subscription was started directly with the developer and bypasses Apple's ability to manage the subscription.

All the links are available there for you to cancel with the developer. Describe what you have tried and what has not worked.

Thank you for that. Would you be willing to share how you came across this website in the first place? This may help others to be more aware of links provided by posters on Social Media or possibly a website that popped up an advertisement that took you to that page. I suppose it is also possible to find a Google search that shows this site on top of the search list, but in any case, it appears that many have no idea that a subscription that was started and how to cancel it.
