How can I sync my iPod Touch without losing any song?

Hello my laptop crashed after the latest windows update and I have had to have a new hard drive. I have installed Itunes on the new laptop hard drive but it only shows my songs that were saved in the cloud.

My ipod touch is up to date but I'm afraid of connecting it and syncing and the cloud version overwriting my ipod touch.

How do i ensure the ipod touch overrides what's in the itunes library on my laptop?

Yes, provided you take the right steps using either third party tools to extract all of the songs, or set up Apple Music on the device and merge (not replace) the content on device with your iCloud Music Library. You might prefer to try iFunbox as listed towards the end of the user tip I posted earlier, which is perhaps a little more complicated, but potentially less risky. If you get it wrong when trying to set up Apple Music there are no second chances.

See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - Apple Community. The easiest method may be a temporary subscription to the Apple Music service, merging the music on the device into an iCloud Music Library which you then download to a computer and backup for security.

Sorry to bother you again but I'm so anxious about losing all my music. It's a hotchpotch of downloads from everywhere. Will they all move to iCloud if I subscribe & move them into iCloud & will I then be able to download them to my laptop. All the supporting files have been lost. I had them backed up on a Lenovo hard drive but now that won't open.
