Pages In-App Collaboration not Possible

Hello. I keep trying to collaborate with my classmates on the Pages application and it keeps telling me "A Pages Update is Available. To collaborate on this document, get the latest version of Pages from the App Store or use Pages on iCloud.com."

But both my Pages application and the software on my Mac is updated to the newest version.

What can I do to resolve this?

Can't collaborate using Pages 12.1 and MacOS 11.7.2 I've seen another post that insists Pages 12 + MacOS 11 is the minimum requirement for collaboration, but despite meeting/exceeding both of these requirements, I'm still seeing a message saying: Can't Collaborate To collaborate, you'll need to use Pages on iCloud.com or Pages on a newer Mac. Ultimately, I really just want Pages to let me sync to iCloud so I can readily access and work on my writing projects, but I don't seem to be able to do so. It would be REALLY disappointing if Apple has decided that I can't sync to iCloud just because I haven't dropped a thousand plus on new hardware. If I can't restore this, then I guess I'll have to abandon Pages and move over to Office since that doesn't seem to care too much about my platform.

Pages sharing is broken in the current edition I am currently running MacOs Ventura 13.0.1 and Apple Pages 12.2. I now find that I cannot send or share a Pages document as a Word document by email as In used to be able to do. There are no options to do this in Pages anymore and the information in the Apple Help files list menu items that no longer exist. I really don't want to have to export the Pages document as a Word document on my computer and they send that. This seems to be a badly executed retrograde step. Any ideas?

How can I get an old version of Pages onto my Apple account? I have an old Mac that's on Catalina 10.15.7. It cannot run the newer versions of Pages, and I do not have the app on my account. My Mac also cannot run the new versions of Garage Band, but since the app is on my account, I am able to download an older version - same with Pages. Is there any way (other than signing in on a newer Mac) to add Pages to my account so that I can download an older version?
