Legal Version of Logic Pro Damaged

I bought my 2019 macbook pro in October of 2020, and when I did I also bought Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro and Motion from the app store. Since the most recent update (Sonoma 14.6.1) I can't open Logic Pro. The pop up comes up that says "Logic Pro X” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash."

This file was downloaded on an unknown date.

When I log into the app store, it doesn't even show Logic Pro in my purchased apps, it shows Motion and Final cut pro (both with the october 2020 purchase date) but when I search for logic pro it comes up available to purchase for $199... Not sure what the deal is here

  1. Did you move the Logic App into the trash? You don't need to empty the trash (not yet).
  2. Log-in with your AppleID to the appstore. If you are not able to find the app in your purchases you might need to trigger it manually in the appstore. You don't need to purchase it again.
  3. If you still have problems, just call Apple support. They can help: Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support
