Why is my iPhone Mail App not receiving Emails?

Hello, I'm having issues with the mail app. It hasn't loaded any new mail since Sunday. Here's what I've done so far:


  • Double checked on my MacBook as well as the iPhone Safari that the email accounts are alive and working outside of the iPhone.
  • updated the iOS
  • Shut down and restarted
  • Deleted mail account and added it back in
  • Reset network settings


All of this, and its still not receiving new mail. Any ideas how to fix?

Next step is to report the issue to your mail provider or look at their help site.

Just in case anyone checks this later, I worked with an upper level of Apple support and we discovered there was a VPN app that had been downloaded and added which was preventing any of the mail to send or receive. I deleted that and everything went back to normal!
