Just bought iphone 14 and on a first charge battery percentage got stuck at 97, then i restarted the phone and it showed up a full battery 100%, and again on second charge it got stuck at 97%. I turned off the optimised battery charging and it still did not help. Dose this mean something is wrong with the battery or the software my first time using an iPhone and ist just rally annoying. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please try a force reset procedure as shown, this will determine if this is a software issue.

If that doesn't rectify your issue, then this is likely a hardware issue in which you should go back to wherever you purchased this new iPhone for a refund and exchange as it could possibly be defective.
Try a Forced Restart on the phone. Follow the instructions very carefully, as this is a bit tricky. (Hint.....ignore the "slider" when it appears and keep holding the Side button in until the Apple logo appears. This might take another 15-20 seconds.)

Recommend that you enable Optimized Battery Charging. It will take 7-10 days for this to learn your routine if you connect the power supply to the phone at night and leave it connected all night....every night.
What is the Maximum Capacity of the battery?
Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging
Apple recommends that you use Optimized Battery Charging because it is the best way to obtain maximum battery performance on your iPhone....and.....extend the life of the battery.
That is why it is the default setting on the iPhone.
I do not understand why you not want to use Optimized Battery Charging, but it is your decision.

Your iPhone may be defective, where did you purchase this new iPhone?
In my country, there isn't an official Apple store, but there are authorized retailers that are recognized by Apple.

But eaven when Optimized Battery Charging is turned off its still no charging fully, i will wait a couple days before going to seller. Thank you for your help.
