Smart reply not required

When I click reply, new smart and totally unwanted automatic prompts come up. Very disconcerting that an app thinks it needs to make suggestions. Looks like AI thinks needs its help, NOT.

How do I turn this behaviour off - beggars belief that something like this can sneak in with no obvious way to turn it off!
