Cannot Sign in to Ticketmaster App to Download Tickets on iPhone
The following thread tells of my experience and solutions to the problem, as I wanted to help other Apple iPhone users, so my answers and solutions are at the bottom of my comments.
I have many settings on my iPhone turned off or on to protect my privacy. When trying to sign into the Ticketmaster App to download purchased tickets and store them in the Apple Wallet, the app would load fine and work, but when trying to go to My Account, the app would ask me to Sign in.
Once trying to Sign In, the Ticketmaster App would say, "Ticketmaster" Wants to Use “ticketmaster.com”, This allows the app and website to share information about you."
So I hit “Continue” and the Ticketmaster App would attempt to Log In and then a Blank White Screen would show up as follows. Scroll down.
So I tried calling Ticketmaster support, which was a waste of time. Then called Apple Care support, which was helpful in ruling out several possibilities, but still no solution. So I searched several Apple Community Forums, and I was finally able to find the problem. The following solutions should resolve the issue.
- Go to Settings, then Apps, then to Safari. Scroll down to the bottom and goto Advanced. Look to see if Block all Cookies is Green, if so Turn Off "Block All Cookies.” This is probably the number one reason the Ticketmaster App will not allow you to sign in. If that does not work, then try the following.
- Reboot or Restart your Phone.
- Under Settings, General, go to VPN & Device Management and Turn Off your VPN if it is running. Some VPN’s such as Nord VPN and Express VPN auto start, so you will have to manually turn those off after starting. In some case you might need to Delete the VPN, reboot your phone, and see if that resolves the problem. This has been the second most reported issue resolving the problem.
- In the same Safari Advanced settings, also Turn Off “Privacy Preserving Ad Measurement."
- In the same Safari Advanced settings, make sure “JavaScript is Turned On, showing Green.
- Go to Settings, then Apps, then to Safari, and Turn Off “Prevent Cross-Site Tracking”.
- Go to Settings, then Apps, then to Safari, and Turn Off "Hide IP Address From Trackers."
- Delete your Ticketmaster App and re-install the Ticketmaster App.
- Check for any IOS updates, install them, and then reboot your phone to see if that works.
One user was able to resolve the problem another way, "I bought tickets on the browser and then was able to open tickets using the browser on my phone and save in my apple wallet."
Depending on which iPhone model you own, the app does require an iPhone which is running iOS 15 or higher. This means you must own an iPhone 7 or newer and older iPhones such as iPhone 6 or older won't work with the Ticketmaster app.
Another users stated they could not get the Ticketmaster App to work on their iPhone, so they switched phones and stated "When using the App on my Samsung it allows me to sign in. I was able to use the app and download my tickets to the Google Wallet."
I hope all this helps if you are having problems Signing in to the Ticketmaster.
So if this has fixed your problem, and you have loaded your tickets into the Apple Wallet, turn your privacy settings back ON, or wait until after the event and turn them back ON.
Last of all, if your event is over and you have no plans to buy tickets with the Ticketmaster App for a while, I would suggest for you to delete the App until you need it again, as Ticketmaster tracks way too much of your activity that is none of their business, as can be see in the screenshot below. Have a great day!
