Various apps started freezing and become unusable after update to Sequoia 15.3

First, MS Excel started to freeze and was unusable, followed by MacCleaner Pro and now MS Outlook.

Is this a buggy release?

Is anyone else experiencing similar problems?

I spent over an hour trying to fix Excel (re-installed, deleted, deleted preferences, etc.) with no change in functionality.

It just seems to get worse as time goes on.

On 15.3.1, and I have a different set of apps that freeze upon open. On my MBP M4 Pro, Adobe Acrobat, MS OneNote, and NordVPN freeze every time, everything else works. On my Studio M1 Ultra, it's Zoom that repeatedly can't connect to the internet now (on both 10G wired and WiFi connection).

None of these apps had this issue before 15.3 or 15.3.1. Restarts don't help, and given the random developers (Adobe, Microsoft, Nord, etc) I feel it must be something in MacOS.

Sounds like a software issue, not just a buggy release. A lot of people have had similar problems with Excel, Outlook, and other apps on macOS after updates. Try updating your macOS and the apps to the latest versions — that might fix any compatibility issues. If it still doesn’t work, try reinstalling the apps or resetting your system preferences.
