Can’t get how? What exactly happens? Old Toad’s instructions are correct and very detailed. Did you click the icon in the Info window to select it? Then Command-C to copy, switch to Preview and Command-N for “New from Clipboard”.

Not directly, but you can assign custom icons to files and folders.
You can create or download custom icons, copy, then select one folder, Command-I, select the icon at the top, and Paste.

I can't get Step 2 and 3 to work. OS 15.3 MacBookPro M3.
Aha! I was trying to select the folder icon in the PREVIEW pane of the Get Info window. All else worked now. Thanks Old Toad and Luis!
