Downloading originals from icloud

I see images from shared albums on my PC but it does not appear that those are originals. How do a download full res images from Icloud to my PC for archival and usage?

Windows, Windows 11 (26100)

Unless you elect to optimize storage (not sure if that's an option in iCloud for Windows) you are downloading originals.

Ok. Thanks. I had seen some prior support posts where there appears to be an election at time of download. But when I did it, it didn't have a choice.
