How to prevent access to iCloud Drive files on a sold PC?

Dear Community,

My situation: I have sold my old PC to a friend and I have deleted all the Icloud apps. I have logged out en changed my apple ID password. On Iphone (apple account) I have removed the PC from the list of devices that can use my Apple ID.

But... my friend sees all the icloud files on my old computer and can access everything He has reinstalled icloud drive and uses his own apple ID. How on earth can he still have acces to my files?

Please help me!!

One possibility that I can think of is that your iCloud Drive files had a local copy on the PC itself and you did not delete them. If that was the case he could access them the same as any other files that were left on the PC.

The following from Microsoft has information on resetting a PC before selling: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/before-you-recycle-sell-or-gift-your-xbox-or-windows-pc-78ee8071-c8ab-40c4-1d89-f708582062e4
