Unable to download attachments from iCloud mail using chrome

I recently developed this problem with downloading PDF attachments received. I can download them when on my phone and view them from there but not when working on my PC. If I right click on the PDF attachment, it asks if I would like to save the image. Please help as I receive many PDF's

opening attachments in icloud mail on google chrome I use iCloud mail in browser on a windows 11 PC. With the recent update of iCloud, when I receive an email with an attachment, I can see the attachment clip but I cannot open the attachment. On my phone, iPad, or using MS Outlook, it works as it should. But working just in the browser on icloud, I cannot get to the attachment. The latest example was a pdf, which I have no problem seeing. I use Chrome and it will not open, however I can access via MS Edge. Clicking on the little clip does nothing... printing the email does not bring it up.
