Why is USB-C to adapter causing Siri activation in iPhone 16 Pro?

I saw another thread where an iPhone 16 pro user is having Siri activate when the phone is plugged to their car. Like them, I too came from an iPhone 13 Pro. Using the adapter to conver from the lightning to aux audio was never an issue until the adapter itself wore out.

however, my brand new usb c to aux adapter in conjunction with my new iPhone 16 pro has been having this issue since the START of of me upgrading this past October. Why is Apple not addressing this issue or fixing it?!

I use the same usb c on my Samsung s10 for purposes of trial. And guess what, THE ADAPTER WORKS FINE. So again, Apple, what are you doing to remedy this ongoing issue with multiple owners?

I already use this https://www.belkin.com/p/3.5mm-audio-usb-c-charge-adapter/NPA004btWH.html and this is what I have an issue with.

I bought a cheaper product on Amazon that works ten times better than this junk that cost nearly $40. No Siri triggered, no low muffling sounds. And it’s not even a brand name. I’m usually one to buy approved products for Apple since I know they’ll meet SOP. But this junk is the issue.

Search for accessories that have completed MFi certification. Once an accessory has completed MFi certification requirements and is reported to Apple as sold/distributed, it will be searchable in our public database of authorized Lightning, headset, charging, iAP-enabled, and Find My network-enabled accessories.

Learn how to identify counterfeit or uncertified Lightning-based accessories.
