How do I factory reset a circa 2015 MacBook Pro running Monterey?

I have a circa 2015 Mac Book Pro with Monterey operating system.

I can't find from Apple & Apple Support >

HOW TO ERASE THIS APPLE MACHINE TO RESET TO FACTORY SETTINGS ???

Apple text from support is NOT RELEVANT to this machine ??

I guess I 'll need a genius bar appointment???

for a Mac of that vintage, you can follow the steps in What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support to return the Mac to an out of the box state.

and IMHO, you should create a bootable installer for Monterey before starting that process to make it easier to reinstall Monterey. please see Create a bootable installer for macOS – Apple Support.
