Migrating Amazon Photos to iCloud - Sync fails

What is the most efficient way to move 1TB of photos, videos and files from Amazon Photos to iCloud?

As I own a Windows PC, I’ve tried downloading it all and syncing to iCloud using the iCloud app for Windows.

Unfortunately It’s simply can’t deal with so many files and looks stuck.

Please Help.

I have all photos from Amazon downloaded to a portable drive. When I try to upload to iCloud Photos I get a message that says I can only upload JPEG files. How do I get all my other files to iCloud? I read I could put on I drive then save to my phone. After testing that it works on some smaller videos and pictures but not 100%. anyone have other ideas on how to make this work? Photos iCloud sync is extremely slow and looks like its throttled server side Hi! I'm trying to transition from Google Photos to iCloud+ with 110K photos and videos (1.5TB). Currently in the process of downloading from Google and uploading from my Macbook. I have 1000/1000mbps fiber internet, wired. Google drive, Onedrive and internet uploads are all blazing fast. I've shut down most uploading apps and recorded activity while Photos was syncing. This looks like a throttled upload were iCloud is only letting a few files through per minute. I've done a rough calculation with this speed and it would take me 13 days (24hr) of uploading. Raw data upload would take around 5 hours. I get that having individual files, registration and metadata processing takes a bit more but not 6000% more time. Anyone has experience/tips on how to upload large amounts of photos and videos to iCloud?

Downloading iCloud Photos to external hard drive I have ~50k photos in my iCloud and want to move them to an external hard drive. I do not have enough storage on my Mac to download all of the photos from iCloud to my desktop. I tried to transfer my Photo library to the hard drive and only about 50% of the photos transferred because the remaining photos are being stored in the cloud and have not downloaded to my laptop. Is there an easy way to make this transfer without losing photos?
