setting up new phone, don’t want to restore all from iCloud.

I am getting a new iPhone. I want to set it up as a new iPhone first, then I want to be selective in restoring what I have on iCloud, particularly apps.

Setting up new iphone from old one My old iphone is full so i cannot download the new IOS (new Iphone 13 says i need the old one to have IOS 16 in order to transfer my data and my old phone number. If i delete my large files (photos and messages) to free up space - will i loose all that info? ( i do have icloud backup)

you can skip the iCloud login at the activation time .

when phone is finally activated them you can sign in with the iCloud and you will get all the data which ever is backed up to iCloud account.
