High CPU usage while typing, with iCloud password extension

I'm using Chrome on Windows, and the iCloud password extension. I have a chat website I use that has a TEXTAREA element for input. For some reason when the iCloud password extension is loaded, typing in this text area causes 100% CPU usage and the input lags. I'm not sure why iCloud should even be paying attention to this element since it's a TEXTAREA, not an INPUT field. I wrote the website, so I'm wondering if there's an attribute I can add to the TEXTAREA to get iCloud to ignore it?
