I can’t get my talk to text to work at all, like not within messages, browsers, nowhere. When I hit the mic where it normally allows you to dictate and then it types it out, it just has a dark gray circle icon around it. It doesn’t listen for me to talk. I’ve tried turning dictation on and off, I’ve tried turning Bluetooth off. My phone is utd. I have iPhone 16pro. I can’t figure out what else to try.

Pretty much the same issue. iPhone 16 Pro Max, just this week auto dictation/ talk to text has completely stopped working on the phone. Press the mic icon. It highlights, get haptic feedback and blue mic shows up but nothing generates. If any word at all that will sometimes generate is: No.
I’m not understanding how talk to text works fine with Google Translate but not for their own OS? (Text, search engines, notes, reminders, etc. on iPhone)
An old 7 series watch it still works with auto dictation or talk to text just fine.
I'm having the same exact issue with my 3 day old iPhone 16 ProMax 1Tb. Including speaking to the prompt then the word “no” shows up and nothing else.
Having the same issue I tried restarting my phone. It’s updated to the latest software checked to make sure dictation was turned on my keyboard. None of this is fixed it. I am confident that it is an issue with Apple software iOS system as this problem started happening two updates ago Just did the latest update last night and it’s still persistent.
Experienced the same issue. Made sure phone was updated to the most current IOS then did a soft reset and auto dictation and talk to text are working perfectly. Hopefully it’ll help you all as well.
