MacOS calculator is the first native app among many native system apps I used in the last 30 years that requires manually opening its history app, on every launch.
How do I keep it visible at all times?

PCalc is highly recommended as a replacement for macOS Sequoia's Calculator. It has paper tape and can certainly load the tape at startup of the app and so much more...

I use the calculator app on a Mac and on an iPad in landscape all the time. Having the ability to leave the state of the history pane between app launches or allowing it to be set on permanently seems such an obviously necessary UI option. A great example of Apple's overly simplistic settings bias. I've waited for the calculator app on iPadOS for over a decade, I don't want to use a third-party app.
