When I tap my phone on a visa machine it’s saying hold near reader but when I do nothing happens. I don’t know why this suddenly stopped working and am not sure how to fix it.

Bluetooth is not used for credit card or debit card transactions.
When attempting to pay with your card are you double clicking the side button (power button) to activate Apple Pay?

You need to have Apple perform diagnostics on your iPhone. It can be done in person at an Apple Retail Store or at an Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can also contact Apple Support and request remote diagnostics.

Does your iPhone have a big case on it?
A card terminal. It’s not recognising my phone so won’t let me pay in store for things using my phone.
Also might be useful to mention when I connect to the Bluetooth in my car my phone is showing as iPhone rather than Aoife’s iPhone (this is what used to show up)
Yea I’m double clicking and the wallet is opening and it says hold near reader but when I do nothing happens. I have used my phone to pay numerous times before, it just stopped working all of a sudden.
